Roles & Responsibilities

Many different parties work together to provide the JEIS program to members efficiently and effectively.

Members, union representatives, school district staff, and Desjardins’ representatives work together to support members on their journey.

The member is responsible for:

  • Completing the forms provided in the JEIS package
  • Meeting with the HCMS (if required) to discuss the potential for a return to work (RTW)/accommodation plan
  • Participating in an agreed upon RTW/accommodation plan if approved by their doctor
